Jangan Cabar tugas Polis pengiring menteri....Ketua Polis Negara respon viral Facebook Fadzil Khair mengundang peristiwa ini berlaku....

PUTRAJAYA : #Motorists who refuse to give way to VIP convoys face stern action, warns Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

Khalid said #motorists who do not give way when VIP motorcade pass by on the road can be charged under the Police Act and Road Transport Act.

“The police can act against these road users for obstructing civil servants in carrying out their duties. The main reason why the police need to #escort the VIPs is because of safety reasons.

“There have been discussions on social media and news portals that road users should disobey the police orders to give way when a VIP is #coming through. I urge the netizens to stop this debate as it will not bring any good to the society and the country.” he said after receiving an honorary doctorate from LimKokWing University at Putrajaya International Convention Centre, here, today.

He also described the #online portals which brought up this issue as promoting lawlessness and deliberately trying to tell people to disobey the police.

He said this in #response to the recent viral Facebook posting by user Fadzil Khair, who claimed that he had purposely #refused to give way to a VIP convoy, and that his action was emulated by other motorists driving in front of him.
